- Centralized Monitoring - all server hardware can be monitored from HP Operations Manager
- Extensive Monitoring - all server hardware components including CPUs, memory modules and sensors (temperature, voltage, fan, current) are detected automatically and monitored
- Service Integration - each monitor in the Hardware SPI is associated with the appropriate service in the Service Navigator
The Hardware Smart Plug-in for HP Software is installed on HP Operations Manager and deployed to select managed nodes through the HP Operations Agent. Once deployed, a regular schedule will check and start a daemon (HWMSPI daemon) on the managed node.
